Responsibilities: 
  • Teacher Responsibilities (TRS, NAC & Texas Child Care Licensing)

    •  Ensure the health, safety, supervision, hygiene, and well-being of all children by maintaining active supervision and complying with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards. 
    •  Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans aligned with the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines, Texas Rising Star (TRS), and National Accreditation Commission (NAC) standards. 
    •  Create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, physical, and creative development. 
    •  Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress, using assessments to individualize instruction and communicate progress with families. 
    •  Foster positive teacher-child interactions by encouraging independence, social skills, conflict resolution, self-regulation, and positive behavior guidance. 
    •  Maintain accurate classroom records, including attendance, assessments, incident reports, health documentation, and other required licensing and program records. 
    •  Build strong partnerships with families through regular, professional communication, parent conferences, and family engagement activities. 
    •  Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom that meets all health, safety, licensing, TRS, and NAC requirements. 
    •  Collaborate with administrators, instructional coaches, specialists, and fellow educators to support continuous quality improvement and the success of every child. 
    •  Demonstrate proficiency in Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards, Texas Rising Star (TRS), National Accreditation Commission (NAC), CACFP, and American Care Academy policies while participating in required professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • CDA, Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or related fields.
  • At least 3 years experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
