Preschool Lead Teacher

Little Beginnings Child Development Center – Arlington, VA
Full-Time

Little Beginnings CDC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher (3-5 years) to join our team. This role requires a nurturing and attentive educator who can provide a warm, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners.

While this position focuses on the preschool, all staff members assist in other classrooms as needed. Being comfortable working with all age groups is essential.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (No nights or weekends)
  • Curriculum & Approach: HighScope, Conscious Discipline, COR Assessment
  • Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe, loving, and engaging environment for infants
  • Implement developmentally appropriate activities
  • Maintain open communication with families and team members
  • Support and collaborate with staff across all age groups as needed
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and maintain classroom records
Qualifications:

  • CDA Certification or higher required
  • 1-3 years of experience working with preschoolers
  • Ability to adjust and assist in various age-group classrooms when needed
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and actively engage with young children
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
