Your Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and serve daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to established menus
- Maintain all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
- Manage food inventory, ordering, receiving, and storage
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste
- Keep kitchen equipment and workspaces clean and organized
- Collaborate with school leadership regarding menus, allergies, and special dietary needs
- Maintain accurate kitchen records and documentation
- Supervise and support kitchen assistants as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience cooking for over 100 people
- Previous experience in food service, school nutrition, childcare, hospitality, healthcare, or institutional kitchens
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with high-volume meal preparation preferred
